As I begin to pen this space, I am reminded of many roles that I’ve happily played - roles of a daughter, sister, friend and a mentor. These roles have helped me shape my being and given me a solid foundation. Being a girl-next-door, I have always chosen to write to express my feelings. Expressing emotions never came easy to most of us, right? Writing has been not only my passion but also an escape from the chaos. But before diving into what I do to earn a living, let me tell you my sweet little story.
As a child, being the apple of the eye of loving parents and an annoyingly sweet brother, I was ready to make a mark in this big world. I never had to think twice before making any wish. It was as if all were already granted! Having such solid support at home, I learned the value and importance of having a family, living in abundance. This triggered a thought that I must find a way to help others with what I have.
It’s a long journey, but I’ve set on it to make my mark. Adulting, my life revolved around books. Either it would be curricular or cringy love stories which my friends would suggest. Then came a phase of reading self-improvement books as it does for most of us. I happened to read one of the many Sidney Sheldon books and immediately fell in love with mystery. Now along with romance and self-improvement, mystery and thriller are my favorite genres to read.
To pursue my passion and share my thoughts with others, I am set to make technology my friend. Having started off with Her-stories as a personal blog, I’m now taking the next step of building an individual brand through this website. I would love to hear your thoughts, always! My writings have been acclaimed by REPORTher – India’s first women’s only newspaper. I have been an active contributor with REPORTher since 2017, and the articles generally focus on topics relating to personal experiences.
During the start of the pandemic, having returned from Canada and not being inclined to enter the workforce just yet, I set out on a journey and have walked down the entrepreneurial path of being a freelancer. I was able to write for several lawyers and entrepreneurs globally in a short span of 8 months. I not only play with words but also have a flair for creating catchy designs to support my dreamy words. So if you are on the lookout for someone who could give your ideas a creative wing, your search ends here!
Professionally, I am a Lawyer and Company Secretary from India with over 5 years of experience in corporate law. Coming from a commerce background, I also hold a Masters in Commerce, with a focus on Accounting and Taxation. I am currently pursuing an accreditation course from the National Committee on Accreditation, FLSC, for being eligible to practice law in Canada. With the rich experience I have gained over the years, I’m happy and proud to say that I’ve progressed and made it to one of the Big 4! I am currently associated with Ernst & Young LLP, India, providing litigation and compliance support to clients.
Through this website, I aim to spread joy through my words and continue to help lawyers and entrepreneurs to soar high with their marketing wings. I’m also happy to collaborate with like-minded people and mentor lawyers and law students who aspire to make it big!
